THE end.

This is it. I can't believe it. We have actually finished our 200 hours.

I knew this day would come, and I was both looking forward and dreading it. Looking forward to have the rest of the summer off, but dreading the day that it will be finished and we will be away from the persons that we started to be fond of.

Twenty-five straight days of working in this agency has taught me a lot of important things. For one, as what I always write on my evaluation forms and previous blog entries, I learned that even though the job of the immigration officers are quite simple, it could mean our national security. The files that we worked on were also very important because they contain who were or were not allowed to leave or enter the country. All in all, in the approximately five years of our stay in the agency, we helped them in maintaining the security of our country, may it be in an indirect way.

One of the most important things I gained  though, aside from the experience and practical knowledge, is friends. They were the ones who made our stay there worthwhile. The company and the things they taught us will never be forgotten. I don't mean this post to be melodramatic, but I would like to take this chance to thank, first, our fellow trainees, for being really fun to be with and friendly to us. Second, to the administrative staff, for being very helpful and approachable and so we were able to do our job really well. Third, to the immigration officers, for being very generous and pleasant. And lastly, to our supervisors, for making us feel comfortable and for not pressuring us to do anything that we can't do. Again, thank you. I look forward to working with you again in the future.
